Overview

  • Early Departure: Guests are picked up from their Victoria Falls accommodation around 06:00 AM, beginning the scenic drive to Hwange (approx. 190 km).
  • Game Drives: Upon arrival, guests board open 4×4 safari vehicles for morning and afternoon game drives, exploring various habitats and waterholes teeming with wildlife.
  • Wildlife Encounters: Expect sightings of elephants, lions, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, impalas, and possibly the African painted wild dog, one of the park’s rarest residents.
  • Lunch in the Park: A picnic-style lunch is served at a designated site within the park, offering a chance to relax and soak in the surroundings.
  • Optional Visit: Some tours include a stop at the Painted Dog Conservation Centre, where guests learn about efforts to protect this endangered species.
  • Return to Victoria Falls: The tour concludes with a drive back, arriving at your lodge around 7:00 PM.
It is the largest National Park in Zimbabwe and it covers 14650square km. the park is home to the largest population of elephants and wild dogs and is home to 4 of the big 5 i.e. lion, elephant, leopard and buffalo Hwange has 100 mammal species and 400 bird species It has mainly savanna grasslands and teak dense forests   Very nice accommodation main camp
